Although it looks like mainly silver metal, it really is more white plastic than metal. The watch is lightweight and durable. It is hard to read the analog readings because they are in silver and on a white background. Adjusting the size of the watch is easy, but you have to take a silver link and a plastic link out at the same time, loosing over 1/2 an inch each time.
